“And I will lead the blind in the way that they know not, in paths that they have not known, I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground” (Isaiah 42: 15-16).

I personally love this particular portion of the Bible. In fact the entire Chapter 42 of Isaiah is so encouraging and uplifting to read and reflect upon. It is so reassuring and reviving.  God is here reassuring us as he did the Children of Israel thousands of years ago through His servant, Isaiah that He will not leave us to stray. In our journey through life, we need divine guidance in order to be able to arrive at our destinations. But we must realise that we have to relate with God like a child, like the blind who know not their ways. We have to be able to say: “Lord, here take my hand, for I know not where to go; for I cannot see that path ahead of me.” We have to freely offer our hand and voluntarily follow where He leads.

“The Lord says: ‘I will teach you the way you should go; I will instruct you and advise you” (Psalm 32: 8)

Lord, grant me the grace of humility to surrender myself totally to Your Father’s lead. Let me not be guided by my will and desires but may His protective Will direct my entire course in life. Amen.
